Looking for Job - 2011 first half is best

It will be raining job offers in the first half of 2011. A survey conducted by recruitment portal Naukri has painted a buoyant hiring picture across sectors.

All 1,000 recruiters who participated in the Naukri Hiring Outlook survey were registered clients of the job portal.

- 80% Of the recruitment agencies forecast new jobs in the first half of 2011 (against 73% new job predictions last year)

- 36% Said there will be lateral hiring

- 2% Of recruiters expect layoffs

- 34% Responded with "ayes" for salary increase between 10% and 15% across sectors

- 29% Said salary increase could be as high as 15% to 20%

- 9% Those who said both senior management (8-15 years experience) and freshers would see new jobs created.

- 42% Said employees with 4-8 years’ experience will see more job opportunities

- 38% Said employees with 1-3 years experience will change jobs

- 58% Said employability is an issue
