Learning Experience at IIT Bombay and Sweet and Surprised Pune Visit

I am bit late about writing my own experience at IIT Bombay which I visited to pursue a course on Human Computer Interaction under Prof. Anirudha Joshi (IDC, IIT Bombay).

But as a proverb  says "Better late than Never".

So here I am sharing my experience with you.

My course was scheduled for 15 days and I was excited as I was going to learn and enhance my knowledge and experience on UX (User Experience) and HCI (Human Computer Interaction).

IIT Experience
When I heard about the course with IIT brand name tagged along with it, a lot of thoughts came in my mind (IITians, industry experts, top notch professionals, business gurus and likewise). As I was not very studious, pursuing a course at an institute of such stature was out of my league. And I was extremely excited about my visit to IIT Bombay.

Mumbai to Pune
It was a typical hot day in the month of May 2017 when I landed at Mumbai Domestic Airport. Monsoon news was doing the rounds but there was no sign of monsoon. I guess it was delayed by a week or so.

My plan was to visit my sister in Pune and come back to Mumbai the very next day when my course was scheduled to start. My sister already booked a cab for me, so I was waiting for the cab to arrive but my cab driver was delayed by 30 min. I decided to grab a cup of tea and gave a call to my family and told them about the delay.

Meanwhile after some time I received a call from unknown number, It was my driver who said that "Sir, aap airport ke bahar aa jao, parking area mein, mein 10 min mein pahuch raha hu" (everything he said in marathi and I literally guessed everything) and disconnected the call.

As I was already outside the Airport, I finished my tea and grabbed my bag pack and started walking towards parking which was not very far. After 10 min I got another call from same new number he said "sir, aap bahar aa gaye, mein parking mein hu, aap dikh nahi rahe", I said I am standing in the parking area and I told him my T-shirt color and he recognize me.

After couple of minute I was inside the cab  and my journey begin towards Pune.

Mumbai - Pune highway is very scenic view, sharp-edge turns, beautiful under-pass and over the above weather was lovely I totally enjoyed the journey, we took break and enjoyed the coffee and snacks on the way.

After couple of hours scenic view was over and we were in pune, reaching my sisters place was easy but not for unknown people. After couple of calls and direction asking I finally reached my sister's home.

Pune - A shot stay
Pune is a small city of lovely people and awesome weather.

Atleast, that's how I will remember it.

Meeting your family members always make you smile and happy, my stay was short but it was sweet. My sister's daughter(Mishti) I am meeting you after a year, our previous visit was at Kalyani (West Bengal) on the ocassion of "Annaprashan - Your First Rice Ceremony". Yeah I remember everything you were so small and I was afraid to hold you in my arms.

And now you are big girl and not talking to me. After couple of hour of struggle we became good friends and talked a lot and clicked lot of pictures.

Yes I'm gonna remember the sweet and short trip to Pune.

Back to IIT Bombay
Next day early morning my journey again started for IIT Bombay, this time I tried to sleep in the cab but unable to because I was excited and eager to reach IIT Bombay.

After 3 hour of journey I finally reached Powai  area where IIT Bombay located. IIT campus is covered by Powai lake from two side.

I loved the IIT Mumbai campus area lots of Trees totally different from Mumbai. Weather was little hot though I was excited to meet new friends (HCI colleague and especially Niran, Vimal, Yamini, Dipanjan, Rakesh, Kaushik and Christopher) and Prof. Anirudha Joshi (IDC, IIT Bombay).
